Bell Ringers Still Needed


The Salvation Army bell ringing campaign continues in Bond County with volunteers manning the red kettles at Capri IGA and Dollar General every day through Christmas and at Greenville Buchheit on Saturdays.

Campaign coordinator Wayne Pierce said county residents have been generous in the program and reminded that a great need exists in Bond County. He also noted that there is an urgent need for volunteer bell ringers.

Pierce also said donations at the Capri IGA collection point this Saturday, December 17 will be matched by the store up to $1,000.
