Comets Top Staunton

The Greenville Comets played their first home game of the season Friday and rolled to a 61 to 18 win over Staunton.

The Comets opened up an 18 to 0 lead after one quarter and led 26 to 4 at halftime. It was 45 to 8 through three quarters.

Leading the Comets in scoring was Christian Moss with 15 points. Eleven Comets scored in the game.

The GHS varsity team is now 2 and 3 for the season. The Comets play at Okawville Tuesday night, at Gillespie Friday night and at home against Metro East Lutheran next Saturday night. All of the games will be broadcast on WGEL and on our website.

In the junior varsity’s first game of the season, GHS beat Staunton 64 to 17.
