Girl Found

A 13-year-old Greenville girl, missing since about 6 o’clock Monday evening, was found unharmed Tuesday morning, according to Greenville Police Chief Lou Lorton.

Police praised an alert Greenville citizen who saw the girl enter Dollar General and followed her in. The police department received a call from the citizen at 10:55 a.m. and an officer, responding to the store, confirmed it was the girl.

The Greenville resident was able to identify the girl from a photo she had seen on Facebook. Police had entered the missing girl’s name into the state police computer system and posters were being prepared for distribution.
