Carol Kramper, HSHS St. Joseph’s Auxiliary President, presented a $25,000 donation to John Ludwig, President and CEO at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, at their annual luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 1. The donation will be used to purchase equipment for the Wound Care Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

HSHS St. Joseph’s Auxiliary hosted their annual luncheon last Thursday where they made a $25,000 donation to HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital – Highland. The donation will be used to purchase equipment for services in the Wound Care Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

“The work our Auxiliary does to raise money for the hospital is amazing,” said Amy Liefer, Foundation Director at St. Joseph’s Hospital. “In addition to all of the great volunteer work they do at the hospital, they also work year round to raise funds, which then support our programs and services.”

The HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary was organized to promote and advance the welfare of the hospital through financial support, public relations, and volunteer services. The Auxiliary offers volunteers the opportunity to provide special services for patients and visitors of St. Joseph’s Hospital. In addition to volunteer duties, Auxiliary members plan and implement fundraising events throughout the year. Those events include new and used book sales, the annual garage sale, bake sales, raffles, Superhero Fun Run, and trivia night.

Volunteers for the HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary are needed throughout the year to help with fundraising events, as well as community events such as blood drives and health fairs. Daily volunteer opportunities are also available at the hospital including greeters, couriers, clerical support, and valet parking attendants.

“We are always looking for people to join the Auxiliary and help support our mission,” said Carol Kramper, President of the HSHS St. Joseph’s Auxiliary. “Our hospital provides so much to our community and we feel honored to be able to give back to the hospital.”
