Thanksgiving Parade

For the fifth straight year, the Greenville High School marching band was in the St. Louis Thanksgiving Day parade.

Band Director Ryan Thomason was pleased with the Marching Comets’ fourth place finish, competing against many bands from larger schools. He also said performing for the cameras as a featured band was a great experience for the students.

Bands in the parade are asked to donate blankets for the needy in the St. Louis area. Once again, the Marching Comets arrived with a big load of blankets. Thomason and several students were interviewed by KMOV for their role in the blanket donation.

Thomason said the Christmas concert for the GHS concert and jazz bands will be held December 17.
