A three vehicle crash on Highway 50 in Clinton County claimed the life of 19 year old Marrissa Flanagan of Vernon. The accident happened around 3:16PM Saturday afternoon north of Trenton on New US Highway 50. Flanagan was the driver of one of the three vehicles according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department. A driver of a second vehicle was transported to St. Louis for further treatment of injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation and it’s unclear if weather and road conditions were a factor. The Clinton County Sheriff’s department and Clinton County Coroner continue their investigation.
