The second annual Bluegrass Festival, to provide burial expenses for local veterans, will take place Saturday in downtown Greenville.
Debbie Neer, a coordinator of the event, said the festival will include a flea market, a bake sale and food vendors. There will be a great deal of live music, featuring several local performers. The event will be held around the square. The flea market begins at 10 AM and music starts at 1 PM.

Neer said proceeds from the event will be used to help veterans with burial expenses. Over the course of the past year, organizers have helped four veterans’ families with burial expenses for their loved ones.
Donations can be sent to the Elm Point Soldier’s Memorial at First Bank, 200 West Main Street, Greenville 62246.
One hundred percent of the money is used for veterans’ funerals.
