City Mosquito Program

The City of Greenville plans to attack mosquitoes this year with spray and larvicide.

Beginning this week, city crews will spray every week with the target day being Wednesday, and spraying starting about 7 p.m.

The day of the spraying is subject to change due to weather conditions.

Larvicide will also be used extensively throughout the city, according to City Manager Dave Willey. He said it is the most effective way to control mosquitoes. City crews will apply larvicide to all standing water. Entries to the city’s storm sewer system are also treated.

If you are aware of areas of standing water, notify the City of Greenville, and they will apply treatment.
