Two 14-year-old boys from Montgomery County were arrested by Greenville police at 7:13 p.m. Friday in stolen cars.
Greenville Chief of Police Lou Lorton said the department received a call from the owner of the vehicles, stating that the cars had been stolen along Woodlawn Street in Greenville.
The drivers of both vehicles were stopped at the same time and location in the city, and the juvenile drivers, one from Taylor Springs and the other from Hillsboro, were taken into custody.
Chief Lorton reported it was learned the boy’s had outstanding warrants in Montgomery County. Authorities from that county picked up the boys.
Chief Lorton said warrants will be sought in Bond County, against the two juveniles, for alleged theft over $500 and alleged possession of a stolen vehicle.
