Park District Pool

The Kingsbury Park District’s William Wait swimming pool will open for the season on Saturday.

Once it opens Saturday, the pool will be open every day through August 13.

The pool is filled with water and park district personnel have been busy preparing it for swimming.

Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein said it takes eight to nine hours to fill the pool with nearly 178,000 gallons of water.

District officials are hoping for good swimming weather this spring and summer. That should guarantee the pool will be a busy place.

Sauerwein said the Clippers swim team will also host meets at the pool.
