Bicentennial Parade

The big Bond County Bicentennial celebration is less than two weeks away.

The event will include a parade at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 2 in downtown Greenville.

Alan Davis, parade coordinator, said entries are still being accepted. Organizers would love to have floats, trucks, and other entries from everyone in Bond County who would like to be involved. Call Davis at 267-9110 or visit to get pre-registered.

Line up begins at 2 p.m. and the route will be very similar to the Greenville Bicentennial parade.

Last Saturday at the car show, an open invitation was issued to local owners who want to drive their cars or trucks in the parade.
