Clinton County 4-H Show Season Begins

The Clinton County 4-H Horse Show will be June 25 at 9 a.m. at CW Equestrian Center outside Mascoutah. 4-H members will gather for judging in a wide range of show classes, including: showmanship, dressage, pleasure, equitation, horsemanship, speed events and fun classes. .

The General Projects Show will be on July 8 and include all the projects that don’t involve showing a live animal. They general projects are judged conference style. Conference judging brings 4-H members and judges together to evaluate exhibits with one-to-one communication between the judge and exhibitor. Exhibitors have the opportunity to learn from the expert judges. Not only that, but the conference judging experience gives youth a chance to start learning the basics of participating in an interview, which will be a useful life skill down the road.

4-H livestock shows are in mid-July in conjunction with the Clinton County Fair.
