Courthouse Tours

From 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, tours of the Bond County Courthouse will be given during Sunday’s bicentennial celebration. They are free.

Guided tours will begins at the Veteran’s Memorial on the west side of the courthouse. The next stop is the Civil War monument on the southeast part of the courthouse lawn.

Tourists will then enter the historic courthouse, visiting the first floor, and then will go to the second floor courtroom. In the courtroom, Taylor Personae, an author and historian, will talk briefly about the Shelton gang trial held in Bond County.
