Forest Health & Invasive Species

Do you want to learn how you can help keep your local forest healthy? Learn how to identify your trees, look for symptoms and identify invasive species. These, and other topics, will be discussed at the “Forest Health and Invasive Species” workshop on June 8, 2017, from 6 – 8 p.m. This program is at the Jefferson County Extension office at Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

University of Illinois Extension Forester, Chris Evans will discuss the local Forest Health in Jefferson County. Chris Evans will share knowledge about the impact of invasive species, control methods and ways to help maintain our local forest.

The program is open to the public – with no charge to participants. Pre-register by calling 618-548-1446 by June 7, 2017.
