Information has been released by the Greenville Police Department concerning a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening at the junction of Idler Lane and Harris Avenue.
Four people were injured in a car driven by Robert Bell, age 74, of Petersburg. He was taken by ambulance to HSHS Holy Family Hospital and then airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
Three passengers from Petersburg were taken to Holy Family Hospital for treatment of injuries. They were identified as Noah Sinclair, age 20; Edith Bell, age 71; and Audiana Bell, age 18.
The Bell car collided with a Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Chlorus Jarman of Greenville. Jarman was ticketed for alleged failure to yield.
Police reported Jarman had stopped at the stop sign on Idler Lane while Bell was driving north on Harris Avenue. Jarman told police he did not see the other vehicle. Witnesses told police the unit driven by Jarman allegedly pulled out in front of the Bell car.
Damage to the front of both vehicles was over $1,500. Jarman was not hurt.
At the scene, Bond County Emergency Service ambulance personnel were assisted by the Pocahontas-Old Ripley Ambulance Service.
