IHSA Classes

The Illinois High School Association has school enrollment numbers for sports to be played in the 2017-18 school year.

Mulberry Grove High School will use the number of 104, based on last year’s enrollment. The Aces will be in Class 1A for all sports.

Greenville High School’s enrollment number is 537, putting all teams in Class 2A, except for boy’s and girl’s soccer, girl’s golf and boy’s and girl’s tennis, which will compete in Class 1A. The football classes will not be known until after the regular season, when all playoff qualifiers have been determined.

GHS is in the South Central Conference and is second largest in enrollment.

Figures for each SSC school are Gillespie at 364, Staunton at 375, Pana at 407, Litchfield at 420, Vandalia at 423, Carlinville at 434, Piasa Southwestern at 488, Hillsboro at 499, Greenville at 537 and Roxana at 542.

Enrollments for other area schools are Patoka at 63, Beecher City at 90, Brownstown at 95, St. Elmo at 124, Ramsey at 131, Raymond Lincolnwood at 143, Mt. Olive at 148, Nokomis at 165, Okawville at 178, Carlyle at 318, Trenton Wesclin at 396, Nashville at 411, Breese Central at 568, Highland at 901 and Triad at 1,101.

Breese Mater Dei is a private school and its multiplier-adjusted number is 689.
