Judith “Judy” Eileen Devaisher, age 68 of Sorento, Illinois passed away Thursday morning, June 29, 2017 at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the Sorento Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Reno Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 4th at the church. Memorials may be directed to Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.
Judy Eileen, the daughter of Eldon Frank and Dorothy (Joplin) Davis, was born February 17, 1949 in Litchfield, Illinois. She grew up in Sorento and the Old Ripley area. Judy attended the local schools there and in 1967 graduated from Greenville High School. She married Rickey Devaisher November 25, 1977. They were married 32 years before his passing on April 30, 2010.
Judy worked for DeMoulin Brothers in Greenville, Roller Derby in Litchfield, Illinois, Jakel’s in Highland, Illinois and babysat children for many years. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Judy enjoyed coloring and had a stack of coloring books by her side. She enjoyed crocheting and had many beautiful pieces.
Surviving are her 2 children: Jaclynn (Jacie) Sackett and husband Darin of Sorento and a brother Darin Devaisher and wife Heather, mother Dorothy Davis, siblings; Jane Davis-Byrd of Springfield, Illinois, Micki Rau and husband Rex of Donnellson, Illinois and Michael Davis and wife Barb of Florrisant, Missouri. Loving granmother of Aurora, Jayson, Caiden and Dryston.
