Summer Safety

School is out and good weather is here.

Greenville Chief of Police Lou Lorton urges people to be aware of others and their surroundings.

He said the number of pedestrians, joggers, and bicyclists increase in the summer months. Motorists need to be aware of the new crosswalk law, mandating that drivers stop if pedestrians are in or approaching a crosswalk.
