SCC Win For Lady Comets Volleyball

The Greenville High School varsity volleyball girls are 5 and 1 in conference play after beating Gillespie Thursday night 25-15, 25-17.

The Lady Comets are all alone in second place.

Individual leaders for GHS were Lauren Meadows with 11 service points, three aces, 11 serve receptions and 12 passes.

Nancy Fritzsche posted eight kills, while Ally Cantrill had seven kills, seven serve receptions and eight passes.

Allyson Haberer totaled seven service points and nine assists, Madison Gerdes had eight assists, and Mara Caldieraro had nine passes.

The varsity volleyball girls are 12 and 5 overall.

Also at Gillespie Thursday night, the Greenville junior varsity team won 25-16, 25-13 for its fifth win in nine matches.

Leaders were Maddie Wade with eight service points and seven assists, Natalie Iberg with five aces and nine serve receptions, Megan Hallemann with two blocks, Madelyn Daiber with five kills and Rylee Pickett with 15 passes.
