DeMoulin Museum Moving

The current DeMoulin Museum location on Main Street.

The DeMoulin Museum in Greenville will soon be moving to a new location.

Curator John Goldsmith said there are just a couple of more opportunities to see the museum at its location at 110 West Main Street. The museum will be open this Saturday, October 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM and again on October 27 for Greenville’s Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 PM.

On October 27, Captain America Minion will greet visitors for photos from 5:30 to 6:39 p.m.

This year, the museum has welcomed over 900 visitors from more than 20 states. Recently, five persons from England stopped at the museum.

On October 28, the move to the former Central Christian Church building, at the intersection of Prairie and South streets, will begin.

Goldsmith said there is work to be done before the museum reopens. He said new displays will be created and space for them needs to be prepared, along with some electrical upgrades and other remodeling. He emphasized the integrity and history of the building is important and will remain intact.
