Residents are invited to drop off unwanted or expired prescription or over-the-counter drugs at any time.

Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse.

Studies show a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet.

Many area police departments are participating in Drug Take-Back Day including the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Highland Police.
