GHS Volleyball Update

The Greenville Lady Comets varsity volleyball team improved its South Central Conference record to 7 and 1 with a three-game win over Hillsboro Thursday night.

Hillsboro won the first game 19-25, but GHS rallied to take the next two 25-17, 25-14 to claim the match.

Individual leaders were Lauren Meadows with 35 passes, 21 serve receptions and 8 service points; Kalie Meadows with 10 service points, Nia Ephron with 4 blocks, Nancy Fritzsche with 13 kills and 10 serve receptions, Madison Gerdes with 13 passes, 8 service points, 8 assists and 2 aces; Allyson Haberer with 20 assists, and Ally Cantrill with 6 kills.

The volleyball girls host Metro East Lutheran Tuesday and have their final home match Thursday against Litchfield. It will be senior night and the final conference match.

In junior varsity play, the Lady Comets beat Hillsboro in two games last Thursday.

Saturday, a JV tournament was held in Greenville with the Lady Comets beating Okawville and Metro East before defeating Hillsboro in the championship match.
