Rollover Accident Sends Two To Hospital

A Bond County Sheriff’s Deputy and Greenville Firefighters responded to a rollover accident Saturday, at 8:07 p.m., on Rt. 40 just west of Old National Trail.

According to the accident report, Kelsey J. Knoploh, age 22, of Greenville, was westbound on Rt. 40 in a Ford Escape when a skunk walked into the road in front of the car. Knoploh swerved to miss the animal and the car hit gravel on the north side of the road. She overcorrected and the car rolled over maybe three times landing on its wheels.

Greenville Firefighters arrived first on the scene and began to check the driver for injuries. She complained of rib pain and was flown by helicopter to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Bond County Ambulance took a passenger, Kealin McLean, age 22, of Waukegan, IL to Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Another passenger was not injured.
