It was a night to remember Friday at Litchfield High School for the fans, the coaches and players, and especially special needs player Jayden Slightom, a sophomore.
Pana was the visiting team and had the win wrapped up. Late in the game, Pana cooperated defensively and the football was handed off to Slightom who ran for his first varsity touchdown.
Pana won 54-12 but everyone at the game will remember the outstanding display of sportsmanship and Slightom’s 48-yard touchdown run.
Slightom was carried off the field on the shoulders of his teammates and was congratulated by the Pana players.
