The Bond County Health Department has entered into a lease agreement with St. Luke’s Hospital, in Chesterfield, MO, for clinic space in the health department on South Fourth Street. St. Luke’s will provide cardiology service, and possibly additional services as well, in what will be called the “Selke Healthcare Center”, in memory of the late Dr. Kenneth Selke, who began discussion of the lease agreement with the health department shortly before his unexpected passing.

WGEL’s Jeff Leidel talked with St. Luke’s Hospital President & CEO Christine Candio about Dr. Selke Sunday on our Public Affairs Program.

Candio said Dr. Selke’s passing is a loss for the hospital, his patients, and the community. She said he left a lasting impression on everyone and given his strong roots in Greenville, the hospital wanted to continue delivering quality care in the community he cared for very much.
