After 15 years as the director of Kaskaskia College’s Greenville Education Center, Jerri Davenport has retired.
Davenport’s retirement is official on December 31, however Wednesday was her final day at the center as she used accumulated vacation days.
Davenport reflected on the beginning of the center, in a building on North Second Street in downtown Greenville, in 2002. She said she hoped it would expand and things have gone well, including a move to a new building in 2009. There were 60 students in the program initially.
