October 2017 Animal Control Report

Bond County Animal Control Officer Jim Hess has released his department’s activity report for the month of October.

Hess fielded a total of 66 animal complaints last month; 39 from within the Greenville city limits.

Seven dogs were impounded in October. Four were released to owners. Four dogs were released to the Bond County Humane Society and one to another no kill shelter. One dog was euthanized.

Eight cats were impounded last month. Three cats were released to owners and two were released to the Bond County Humane Society. Six cats went to other no kill shelters. Two were euthanized.

One wild animal complaint was received in October, for a possum in Greenville.

One animal bite was reported in a rural county area.
