The Greenville Comets made it a double-win weekend with a double overtime victory at Metro East Lutheran Saturday night.
The final score was 64 to 56. The game was tied at 48 at the end of regulation time and it was 54-54 after one overtime.
The Comets outscored the Knights 10 to 2 in the second overtime with Brock Nelson scoring 7 of those points.
Nelson led Greenville High in scoring with 19 points as he sank 5 three-point shots.
Kaleb Ephron had a 16-point night and Lucas Carlson scored 12 points.
The Comets are now 4 and 5 overall after beating Gillespie and Metro East this weekend. They host Vandalia Friday night. The game will be broadcast on WGEL.
The junior varsity Comets beat Metro East Lutheran 50 to 24.
