Dale E. Crouch, 68, of Sorento, IL, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, IL.
Dale was born December 26, 1948 in Sorento, IL, the son of Harim and Mabel (Reitz) Crouch. He married Dorothy Bloemker on October 7, 1978 in Sorento, IL.
Dale graduated from Greenville High School, and went on to work for the railroad. He would then work and eventually retire from Olin’s in East Alton, IL as the chief stock clerk. Dale also worked his family’s farm for most of his life. He loved farming, splitting wood, hunting, 4 wheeling, his zero-turn John Deere lawn mower, riding motorcycles, and watching westerns and professional wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Russell Crouch.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dorothy Crouch of Sorento, IL; son, Brian (companion, Kayla Trombley) Crouch of Sorento, IL; daughter, Kimberly (husband, Jeremy) Long of Mt. Olive, IL; grandchildren, Brigitte, Gracie, and Peyton Long, and Rayne and Ryelynn Howard; siblings, David (wife, Darlene) Crouch of Sorento, IL, Janice (husband, Mike) Mollet of Sorento, IL, and Joyce (husband, Mike) Rhoades of Brighton, IL; aunt, Marion Crouch of Alton, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home, 201 S. Main St., Sorento, IL 62086.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Sorento, with Rev. Terry Pope, officiant.
Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.
