The Shoal Creek Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited banquet is Saturday, February 3, in the KC Hall in Highland. There will be a social hour, games, and a two-meat buffet served from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Greg Zykan with the Shoal Creek Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited told WGEL the group has been in Bond County for 14 years. They hold many events throughout a multi-county area. The main focus of Whitetails Unlimited is to raise funds to support educational programs, wildlife habitat enhancement, and preservation of shooting sports and hunting traditions.

Zykan said the banquet will include games, a social hour, and two-meat buffet. 50% of the money raised from the banquet stays in this area with the rest going to the national organization. Zykan said the national group funds local grants upon request.

The cost of a ticket covers membership in the Shoal Creek Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited for the year.

Tickets are $45.00 for a single and $20.00 for a spouse or child. The deadline to order tickets is January 26. Tickets will not be available at the door.
