Delores McMillin, age 76 of Mulberry Grove, Illinois passed away Friday night, January 5, 2018 in St. Anthony’s Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove. Interment will follow in Mulberry Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove. Memorials are to the family.
Delores Rice, the daughter of Frank and Mary Ellis Rice, was born May 29, 1941 in Vandalia, Illinois. She grew up in Keyesport, attended the local schools and graduated from Keyesport High School. Delores married Howard McMillin in 1967. They enjoyed 30 years together before his death in 1997.
Delores worked as a seamstress for DeMoulin Brothers in Greenville for many years. In retirement, she has enjoyed gardening, making quilts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children: Norman McMillin and fiance Sunnie Butler of Mulberry Grove, Daniel McMillin of Greenville and Amy Wright and husband Jay of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. She is also survived by her step-children: Kim Bryson of Georgia, Elizabeth Wehrle of Mulberry Grove and Howard McMillin, Jr. of Mulberry Grove, 17 grandchildren, siblings: Frankie Dennison of Highland, Robert Rice of Greenville, Rick Rice of Woodriver and Janice Stokes of Ramsey. She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Rice.
