Jerry Nolte, age 63 of Boulder, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Mr. Nolte was born in Breese on September 1, 1954, a son of Henry and Helen (Yardley) Nolte. He married Mary Ann Stroud at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin on December 31, 1993, and she survives in Boulder.
In addition to his wife Mary Ann, Jerry is also survived by his children – Tristan Nolte and wife Valerie of Carlyle, Julie Nolte of Carlyle, Brandi Gehrs and husband Nick of Carlyle, and Jacob Nolte and fiancé Stephenie of Hoffman; seven grandchildren – Chase, Heidi, Gage, Charlotte, Jack, Alex, and Nickolas; two sisters – Debra Albers and husband Ronald, Jr. of Carlyle and Ruth Holland and husband Richard of Sandoval; six brothers – James Nolte and wife Carmen of Iuka, Earl Nolte of Odin, Robert Nolte and wife Linda of Iuka, George Nolte and wife Melba of Sandoval, David Nolte and wife Sheri of Boulder, and Bradley Nolte of Boulder; his father-in-law – Donald Stroud of Carlyle; a sister-in-law – Donna Stroud of Huey; and a brother-in-law – Jason Stroud of Mill Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew – Timothy Nolte.
Jerry was a carpenter all his life and was co-owner of Nolte Construction. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Jerry loved spoiling his seven grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin and served as assistant Boy Scout leader for many years.
A Memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2018. The family will greet friends and family at the church on Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
