Lady Comets Beat Vandals

Tuesday night, the Greenville Lady Comets moved a step closer to at least a share of the South Central Conference championship. Playing at home, they beat Vandalia 48 to 32.

Kalie Meadows led the offense with 16 points while Nancy Fritzsche had 13.

Sophomore Megan Hallemann set a new school record for blocked shots in a career. Posting 6 blocks in the game, she now has a total of 220l in less than two years of action.

The Lady Comets are 7 and 1 in the conference and 18 and 6 overall. They can clinch a share of the conference title at Gillespie Thursday night. The game will be broadcast on WGEL and streamed at WGEL.com.

In junior varsity play, Greenville topped Vandalia 49 to 31 with Natalie Iberg scoring 15 points and Rylee Pickett recording 14.
