Lady Comets Notch 4th SCC Win

The Greenville Lady Comets picked up their fourth South Central Conference win at home Thursday night, defeating Litchfield 61 to 25.

Coach Kolin Dothager was pleased to record another conference victory.

The Lady Comets led 17 to 5 after one quarter and 37 to 12 after Ally Cantrill sank a half-court shot to end the half.

Greenville High led by 34 after 3 quarters and was in front by as many as 40 points in the final quarter.

Top scorer for the Lady Comets was Madison Gerdes with 15 points. Megan Halleman put in 10 points and Cantrill finished with 9.

It is believed the varsity girls set a school record for fewest fouls in a game. They committed only 3, 1 in the first half.

The team is 13 and 5 overall and plays another conference game Monday night at Staunton.

The Junior Varsity Lady Comets have a 9 and 2 record after beating Litchfield 40 to 19.
