MG Unit 1 Board Approves HVAC Bid

The Mulberry Grove Board of Education met Tuesday night and approved a bid to replace an HVAC unit on the elementary school. The board reviewed all bids for the project and accepted the bid from Culbertson’s Heating in Vandalia for $90,000.00.

In the financial report, Superintendent Brad Turner said general state aid payments continue to arrive on time but the district has not received more categorical state aid payments for transportation and special education. The district got the final county tax payment of $600.00 – $700.00.

The board approved graduation dates. Junior High graduation is Saturday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m. and High School graduation is also Saturday, May 19, at 2:00 p.m.

Following a closed session, the board hired Regina Johnson elementary cheerleading coach, Zoe Zinkgraf high school softball assistant coach, Kayla Zimmerman elementary basketball assistant coach, and Harry Logan elementary school personal aide.
