Mulberry Falls To Vandalia


In a rematch Tuesday night between Mulberry Grove and Vandalia, the Aces led by three points after 3 quarters, but couldn’t keep up with the Vandals in the 4th quarter.

Mulberry Grove was outscored 33 to 10 in the final 8 minutes and lost to Vandalia 81 to 61.

Three Aces scored in double figures. Courtlyn Latham totaled 21 points. Wyatt Criner had 16 and Ross Tompkins scored 10.

The game was played at Mulberry Grove and was part of the Morrisonville Mohawk Classic. The Aces have lost their first three games of the tourney and have an overall record of 10 and 5 for the season.

Before Christmas, the Aces beat Vandalia to claim third place in the St. Elmo tournament.

Mulberry Grove plays at Morrisonville Thursday against Carlinville and Friday against Edinburg.
