Jill Gebke is the new Director for Unit 23 Extension Offices of Bond, Clinton, Jefferson, Marion, and Washington Counties. She is an experienced administrative professional with a strong record of building and executing new and innovative programs in support of the development and pursuit of lifelong educational opportunities. She is a dedicated, experienced administrator with background in making data-driven decisions.
Gebke holds a master’s degree in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
Her background includes previous certifications in Ethical Fitness Training from the Institute for Global Ethics, Pace Setter of the Year from the Illinois Community College Board, Outstanding Staff Member from the SIU College of Business, Regional Award Winner from the National Association for College and University Residence Halls, and Terry O’Bannion Shared Journey Award for College Student Programming for Innovation from the National Council for Student Development.
Prior to joining University of Illinois Extension, she served as the Assistant Dean in the College of Business at Southern Illinois University. She has also held positions at Kaskaskia College as Director of Recruitment & Student Development, where she worked in recruiting and advisement to assist students in planning and achieving their educational goals. She brings over 15 years of higher education leadership and experience to the position.
