The Kingsbury Park District Board still has a vacancy.
Meeting Monday night, the board considered filling the position, previously held by Jose Lirios, who resigned last month. The park board consists of 5 persons.
It was announced that three individuals wrote letters of interest in the position. They are Elizabeth Ward, Vaughn Robart and Gary Trudell.
Following an executive session, a motion was made to table the matter. The motion failed with Barb Smith and Louann Theiss voting yes and Scott Crothers and Tommy Simpson voting against it.
The next motion was to appoint Elizabeth Ward to the position. It failed with Crothers and Simpson voting yes and Smith and Theiss abstaining.
No other motions were presented so the meeting ended with the board still having four members.
Smith was approved as the new park board treasurer, a position that had been filled by Lirios.
