Reigning Miss Bond County Fair Queen Jenna Koonce has a big weekend coming up in Springfield.
Queen Koonce will participate in the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs state queen pageant Thursday through Saturday.
She has been Bond County Fair queen since early August of last year.
Koonce said she has been busy preparing for the state competition, including a lot of work on the interview portion of the event. She said she’s competitive and wants to win the state title and is looking forward to having fun.

Koonce’s speech topic will be her participation in the Bond County CEO Program.
Only halfway through her year as county queen, Koonce said she has enjoyed meeting new people and attending events.

Jenna Koonce is a senior at Mulberry Grove High School.
She is the daughter of Dave and Matyka Koonce of Mulberry Grove.
Queen Koonce will be accompanied at the state contest by Bond County Queen Pageant Director Brooke Earnest.
The stare queen pageant will be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield. State pageant rehearsals begin Thursday and the finals are Sunday night.
