A search is underway for the missing son of a longtime Highland businessman.
John Jatcko, of Edwardsville, has worked as an Edward Jones representative in Highland for many years. He says his son Nathan Jatcko, a graduate of Mater Dei High School and a highly-regarded musician in the St. Louis jazz scene, has been missing since early Friday morning.
St. Louis Police confirmed to WGEL they are investigating a missing persons case and that Jatcko was last seen around 1:30 AM Friday at his residence in the 3300 block of Lawn Avenue near South Kingshighway in St. Louis.
The Belleville News Democrat reports that family and friends of Jatcko knew something was wrong when he did not show up for a band rehearsal Friday and missed an engagement later that day.
John Jatcko told the BND calls to his son’s cellphone go straight to voicemail and Nathan has not been active on Facebook.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Nathan Jatcko is asked to call the St. Louis Police Department at 314-231-1212.
