The Albers-Damiansville girls basketball team won the Class S state championship if the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association.
The Cougars defeated St. Mary’s of Mt. Vernon, 47 to 40, in the title game, played at Rend Lake College.
Albers-Damiansville ends the season with a 27 and 1 record and a state title.
Bartelso finished third in the Class S state tourney.
