The South Central Illinois Growth Alliance has pledged up to $10,000 toward the cost of instruction for manufacturing courses taught by Kaskaskia College.
The action was taken with the goal of students being employed at participating manufacturers throughout the KC district.
The alliance is a five-county, not-for-profit corporation offering opportunities for businesses and individuals. Bond County is one of those counties.
The group is committed to establishing, promoting, maintaining and developing financial, industrial, agricultural, and tourism initiatives.
It is anticipated courses will begin as early as the summer semester or the fall semester.
