The Pocahontas 8th grade boys’ basketball team ended its season with a trip to the regional championship game Thursday evening.
Playing at Springfield Little Flower in a Class 1A regional, the Indians were defeated by Lovejoy 42 to 23. They reached the championship game by beating Little Flower and Waverly in the regional.
Pocahontas concludes an outstanding season with a 17 and 4 record.
