Greenville Firefighters Called To AC Fire & Leaning Power Pole

The Greenville Fire Protection District was called at 3:05 p.m. Saturday to Enertech Global, in the 2500 block of South Elm Street, for a structure fire. According to the fire report, an air conditioning unit had shut down, causing a small fire with light smoke. The cleaning crew on-hand extinguished the fire and the fire department removed the smoke in the warehouse. The dollar value loss was estimated at $5,000.00. There were no injuries and the department was on scene for approximately 55 minutes

The Greenville Fire Protection District was called again Saturday, at 5:46 p.m., to the 1500 block of South Route 127 to a leaning power pole that had caused power outages in the area. The fire department and Greenville City Police re-routed traffic until the power company arrived to handle the incident. The fire department was on scene for an hour and fifteen minutes. No injuries were reported.
