The Vandalia School district will have a new superintendent beginning April 2.
The Vandalia School Board has hired Dr. Jennifer Garrison to replace Rich Well, who resigned due to health reasons last November. Since then, Nick Casey has been the interim superintendent.
Dr. Garrison is a Vandalia native who has been the Sandoval superintendent since 2009. She previously taught at Highland and was a principal at Ramsey.
Dr. Garrison graduated from Vandalia High School in 1995 and served 9 years in the Illinois National Guard. She lives in Vandalia with her husband and son.
