Panthers Heading To National Tournament

The Greenville University men’s basketball team advanced to the NCAA Division III national tournament by winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers beat Blackburn 126 to 119 to improve their record to 19 and 8.

Johari Dix, who was named the tournament’s most valuable player, led the Panthers in scoring with 26 points. Adam Warren, named to the all-tournament team, recorded 23 points for G.U.

The Panthers outscored Blackburn 31 to 19 at the free throw line.

The NCAA will announce the tournament field on Monday at 11:30 a.m.

Greenville is making its first trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
