Bond County Clerk Meg Sybert reports the challenge to a state candidate for the primary election has been settled with no change to the Democrat ballot.
Earlier this month, Sybert reported an objection to Scott Drury running for state attorney general was in the Cook County court system. The court recently ruled in favor of Drury so he remains on the ballot.
Early voting is currently underway at the county clerk’s office. Registered voters can vote from now through March 19, without giving a reason for voting early. The county clerk’s office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Early voting began on February 8. Sybert said anyone who already voted a Democrat ballot and selected Drury will have those votes counted. No re-voting will be required for anyone.
