In this week’s Bond County Board of Health meeting, Bond County Health Department Administrator Sean Eifert reported a slight increase in revenue during January, 2018 and noted that the health department’s building loan is slated to be paid in full by June of this year.
Eifert reported the financial outlook for the department in 2018 is positive, with budgeted increased revenue and decreased expenses.
Jamie Derrick, Home Health Director, and Kelly Derrick, Hospice Director, presented the home health and hospice professional advisory committee reports, noting the total number of patients seen and the average daily census in 2017 was significantly higher than in 2016.
The board entered into executive session to consider a requested extension of an option to purchase agreement with GMS II, LLC on 2 acres of property adjacent to the health department building for the purpose of construction of a senior living facility. No action was taken on this request.
The board of health is scheduled to meet again on March 26, 2018 at 6:30 pm.
