After winning the National Christian College Association national championship last year, the Greenville University basketball women will be playing for third place this year.
The Lady Panthers won their quarterfinal game Wednesday morning, beating Southwestern Christian 77 to 70 in two overtimes. Meredith Crosier scored 20 points and Wesley Woodard had 18.
Thursday afternoon, Greenville lost to Concordia University Ann Arbor 62 to 55 in the semifinals. Morgan St. James had 11 points for G.U. and Laura Goodnight added 10.
The Lady Panthers play in the third place game at 9 a.m. Saturday. The national tourney is being played at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Greenville enters the game with a 22 and 7 record.
