The Greenville University Lady Panthers basketball team is going back to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national tournament.
Playing at home Saturday afternoon, the Lady Panthers won the North Central Regional crown with a 71 to 63 victory over Trinity Christian.
They are now among the final 8 in the national tourney. Greenville won the NCCAA national championship one year ago.
Head Coach Roy Mulholland was happy for his players after Saturday’s victory.

Greenville led 34 to 25 at halftime, but had only a one point lead after three quarters. The Lady Panthers piled up 26 points in the final frame to win by 8.
Against Trinity Christian, Meredith Crosier led G.U. with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Maria Reinhard totaled 17 points and 4 assists and Wesley Woodard had 10 points.
The Lady Panthers are now 21 and 6 for the season. They wait to find out who they will play in the quarterfinals of the national tourney a week from Wednesday. That will be at Grace College in Indiana.
